SUE RYAN

Sue Ryan is an Australian contemporary artist based in Far North Queensland, Australia.
She works in a diverse range of media with a focus on utilising reclaimed ghost nets. During her role as Art Director for GhostNets Australia she established the environmental Ghost Net Art movement, collaborating with indigenous communities and contemporary artists in up-cycling nets into works of art. Her practice includes arts workshops, mentorships and collaborations as well as her primary focus of sculptural works for exhibitions and commissions. Sue’s artworks can be found in private and public collections worldwide.
